I have a notebook, it does have quard cores.

I payed $450, $200 off the original price. I got an excellent deal at the Microsoft Store.

quad core? i5's are dual cores with hyperthreading so it shows up as a quad in dxdiag.

good, for a portable laptop it was only worth that much, well up to $600.
then i noticed the nvidia 540m, that bumped it up to $700.

its funny because HDDs can be easily upgraded in most laptops.
my laptop almost had the ability to have 2 HDD's then acer decided to cut off the ability to use the second HDD slot, shame, i was thinking about using it with a 1tb HDD with my 640GB.

i upgraded my laptop ram VERY EASILY, but that was not you were talking about.

Intel Core i5-2450TM, I'm so happy that you are content to prove me wrong. It's not really worth it, but do what you want.
