Uh but your computer component choices aren't really that great...

Anyone know any DDR-3 compatible motherboards with an included quadcore for under $250?

God damit Awdax you could've gotten a 6870 for $10-$20 more
Still a good build though

I know, but I was already going over my budget. I can always upgrade in the future. And when I do upgrade, I want it to be a big improvement - but not bottleneck. That's why I changed from the i3 to the i5.

You'll find a lot of stuff for $252. Almost everything under $250 is an AMD, but you'll find some hex-cores and this very high clocked quad-core: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1026516

I'm thinking the Lenovo, but I'd like some more input. I mostly want it for games and stuff.

THE LENOVOLENOVOLENOVOOO.

I have that same exact laptop, except 1TB HDD and instead of stuffty 1366x768 it's 1080p.

HOWEVER, before you buy it, just go straight here:
http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/catalog.workflow:category.details?current-catalog-id=12F0696583E04D86B9B79B0FEC01C087&current-category-id=AC523278A4F13F27A84F5F5622D1AC7A
and buy it straight from Lenovo.  You can get one of their 1080p screen ones for $600 off with that eCoupon, that's what I did.  So you basically get a $1700 laptop for the price of $1,100.  The one I got is the second from the right, the 20994HU.

The only problems I encountered so far is that changing the power plan through Lenovo's pretty ok power manager plan causes the laptop to no longer be able to sleep, and it came with a lot of bloat ware initially.

Thanks, that's pretty sweet since my dad pays €200 ($246.68) for me, that comes down to me having to pay 30 cents.

i had a budget, he doesnt, plus tf2 works perfectly on the new system.

In hindsight, how much better would it have been to go with this build instead? It would have been $100 cheaper too. But still a $600 worth build (excluding monitor and OS).
