Ethan seems to be here, good.

So here's my current situation:
I'm using amd's dual graphics software, and it doesn't support opengl applications (like Blockland, Minecraft, Killing Floor) on the discrete card.

However, in some HP computers there is an option to turn this off in the bios. In mine, there isn't anything. The above link is a modified bios that includes an option to change it to only using one "fixed" graphics mode. I'd really really like it if I could get this fixed because a good amount of games that I own are opengl. Would any of you recommend using it?
I have another computer model, but the same graphics card and BIOS version as the computer that is supported in this article.

list all of the components you already have (assuming you have more than CPU/GPU because you said "a few things")

I wouldn't recommend re-using a CPU and buying the same motherboard, though. that's fairly old technology. (5 year old CPU)
CPU works grand tho, so I want to keep using it.

ladies and gentlemen, the great, molten HDD!

One of my temperature sensors on my motherboard reads -128ºC. Your SMART temperature probe must be broken or something, as a hard drive under average conditions shouldn't go higher than ~45ºC unless you were doing extensive SMART testing.

To be blunt with you, some i3 processors perform better than your current processor. That's not saying much to your end. Upgrading the entire CPU+Mobo would give you extra performance and a less of a chance to bottleneck anything else you may want to add in the future.

Looks good and compatible from what I can see, I'd go for it in the current state.

Edit;
I need a motherboard which can support these parts;
  • Radeon HD 6870
  • AMD Phenom II 965 Processor
  • 500GB Seagate HDD
  • 4GB of DDR3 RAM
If anybody can hit me up with a decent motherboard, kudos to you.

Range of price is around £70 to £90.

Nevermind. I've found this ASRock motherboard which should support everything I need.

Hey guys, I need a new mouse because my current RAT 7 has so many issues with it, like it spazzing out during an intense fight in TF2 or some other game, or double or even triple clicking when I click once. I love it to death though, so it's going to be tough getting rid of it. ;_;

Do you guys have any suggestions for a new mouse? I'd like to stay away from wireless mice.

I am having some big problems with my computer
First, whenever I start up my computer all this stuff starts up with it. I don't know what programs are mandatory for my computer and the ones that are hogging my stuff. I didn't even install half that stuff but this is what happens when you have stupid friends

Another thing is that every time I wan't to shut off my computer it always installs 3 specific updates. I have installed them repeatedly but they always want to install on shutdown

The last thing is different. Back at the beginning of the year my hard drive died. So I got a new one and reinstalled my OS and files. But now every time I start up my computer this pops up:

Can you guys please help me with this? especially the last one.

You fond with ball mouses by any chance?

@Beachbum: Restore your computer back to default? Make sure you have your important files backed up.

Haven't used one since I was 4 or 5, but I don't know if one will suit my PRO GAYMAN needs.
