That was happening to me a long time ago. I updated my drivers and it stopped, but you probably already tried that.

ive seen people get this and never thought of uninstalling and reinstalling video drivers, which is why i told him to reinstall it.

also, getting a few lovey electronics this january:

I got a Microsoft wired mouse for $20, it's fairly decent. No complaints.
