So we have a new partner server added to the list, Promethia RP. Check the server out, it's great and well structured with a great moderation team of which I am a part of.

And if you haven't already, check out Speedycraft. It's a very loose, creative server with lots of neat builds to check out.

I'm sorry for the slow activity lately guys, I haven't had much time to devote to the server. I hope everyone is doing well with everything, I still care very much about this server. I'm just not very inclined to make big changes to things to get people more involved before 1.2.

Thanks for being patient while the server is in a...rather neglected state. The best way to fix that is to join the game. The server is most fun when lots of people are on so let's see if we can do something about that.

try making it a snapshot server, that would get a lot of people who would otherwise be playing single player on the server, and considering that there won't be any big terrain generation changes because they were in one of the former snapshots, you could just port the map over.

The biggest issue with that is griefers. We need to have (at the bare minimum) the anti-griefing plugins installed as we don't have a moderation team that can possibly be around 24/7. We've gone through too many problems in the past to let anything slip, otherwise I would totally love to do that.

i don't think griefers will be a problem if you add a whitelist. only whitelist people you trust not to destroy everything you love and hold dear. you don't need to worry about me, i don't destroy things, i build MAGNIFICENT FOUR LEGGED SPIDERS OF JOY, and there's no plugin for that.

but seriously, you should just whitelist the server and add specific people. i think the main problem with the way the server works currently is that you just let anyone get builder for applying, and real griefers get thrown into the mix. if you keep it simple i'm sure a smaller population could keep itself from destroying the server. you could also do manual backups, such as making a manual backup every night, and if a griefer hits after dark, you just re-load the map to the latest nightly backup.
