this explains the discount on the other games

Hopefully it doesn't suck at much as GTA:IV did.

That V looks really odd and I'm sure it's a hint about the place where it will take place. :o

Looks like a generic dollar pattern to me.

On 25 October 2011, Rockstar changed their homepage to display the logo for Grand Theft Auto V with the 'V' stylized like a British £5 bank note.
Perhaps we're going to Britain? Though I'm guessing something more like Las Vegas or maybe Vice City.

maybe they're going to back to the first games, like the London 1969 add-on
afterall, the Rockstar founders are english

Where?

perhaps it's an older version of the bank note?
I thought it looked more like the american dollar pattern.

or maybe whoever did the wikipedia edit is just stupid

That's why speculation is frowned upon on Wikipedia.

The source of that info just says "The V in the logo is stylised to look like a bank note. What could that mean? "

No idea what a ribbon could represent, but the pattern on V definitely reminds me of more modern banknotes.

So beautiful, and there hasn't even been a trailer

Anyone know the font name for V?

maybe you're like
a guy who sits in a bank all day
and you have to talk to people and tell them they cant get any money
then you go on a rampage
and thats it
