Anim8or does not export objects in .dts format.
You can import that .obj (yes as in Wavefront to Spation) to Milkshape, than add the joints and flat shade it.
Don't forget to do those things, I just gave you a simple boat model, I have no idea how to add joints or flat shade things in milkshape.
If you already put the script on it, you wouldn't even be able to get into the boat int he first place if it has no joints.
Milkshape imports and exports almost any file type on earth.

I can add the joints, but there really isn't much point seeing as the person who flat shades it will probably do it again.

If you mean without the lego pegs, and slightly squared off but not round, that would be Blocko.  So you would say

"Can you give me that raft, except make it blocko?"
