well the show is rapidly approaching where the manga is

so it's not like they can do the story before it's out

But that is how shonans go. You dump your attention into 15 or more episodes with little to no progression in the story. Kind of like dragon ball z.

yeah

the animation style and music are absolutely wonderful

but the whole "wowe beter den cowboy bebop and code geass combined!1!!!" attitude really needs to be shot

it's not the greatest anime ever, no way, but jeez story build up is necessary to make a good... well, story! all shows with very linear storylines do this.

better than Code Geass R2 is undebatable because that's not even an accomplishment, but it's not better than R1...

I was really hoping SAO would've been a lot better than what it was when I watched it..I am dissapointed.

gurren lagann had no more than 3 episodes that could be considered filler by a stretch, though in every single episode at the very least something of even minor significance to the plot happens

gurren lagann was about giant robots and badass dudes fighting monkeys in giant robots and a shirtless guy with wacky eyes. as good as it was, it's not something that needed a non-action episode to drive the story along. I'm not saying filler episodes are good, but i don't feel like any episodes of titan are really "filler", they just drag on certain things a little too long

Yeah i was high off my lass last night and thought SAO might come on but to my surprise evangelion 2.22 was on so i decided to give it a try, i couldn't really understand what was going on cause i was high as forget :I so i decided i would download it and 1.11 and watch them the next day.
