Yeah, halfway through the last arc you can tell the author was trying to end it as soon as he could. I think he did a better job than Aida Yu did with Gunslinger Girl, though.

i could talk about the series all day, but i decided that the author made a bunch of decisions that made the story more serious than it should've. the characters definitely made up for those decisions, but not enough to make it as good as it should've been. if i ever re-read it, i'm just gonna read up to the end of the godesses arc, as the last arc was just complete bullstuff (LET'S TELL THE READER ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, IT'LL MAKE SENSE LATER), even the introduction to it.
