Just finished Aldnoah.zero.

I liked the soundtrack. I did not like anything else, least of all that ending. Blech. I guess the big sister character was kind of endearing too. Seriously though, what a disappointment. It felt like it wanted to be a 24 episode series but they didn't have the budget for it or something.

Oh yeah sorry I meant I feel like it should have been 24 as is. I don't really like arbitrary season splits. Especially since the first 12 move at such a breakneck speed.

So then why'd it move at such an abnormal speed if they intended for it to have a second season all along? I mean, I understand that making anime doesn't happen overnight. I call it arbitrary because the ending of the first season would still be conclusive (albeit still terrible) if there wasn't a second one planned.

It just feels to me like they tried to fit 24 episodes worth of development into 12 episodes. In some ways they succeed, but it just feels weird to me overall.
