This is such a messed up statement I don't know where to begin.
First off, you gave one action: they act of denying followed by the act of proving. There is no second thing to compare it against and so its not different making the whole sentence incorrect.
If you instead meant, "denying something and proving something right are different", that may be but they are mutually exclusive. You can deny something while proving it right just as you can believe something and prove it wrong. Therefor it is still nonsensical.
How you can call yourself a writer is beyond me.
