i used to, until i found that my best drop ideas were lost in working on the beginning of the song

plus, for me it's generally easier to find an intro for a drop than it is to find a drop for an intro.

bleh, i probably didn't really word my process very well

i didn't say to put 100% focus on just the drop. when i said "build upon it", i mean expand it into an actual song, in any way possible, and to only start with the drop.

i didn't imply that the rest of the song was unimportant, just to start with a drop/chorus melody
