it has nothing to do with scaling algorithms, i know how scaling works in image editors.

i'm talking about how the forums can remove transparency, un-animate gifs and in general make the image look worse if it isn't at or below 75x75.

If it's higher than 75x75, the forum will automatically scale it down, and the forum sucks at that.
That's why it turns out bad.
