So, today I learned my partner in my audio tech class is actually friends with Ephixa.

So does anyone here do any actual DJing?
ye

What kind of stuff do you use?

I'm thinking of getting an XDJ Aero but im not sure this is the best route to take. If I were to get this, what other equipment would I need?

thaaaaank lmfao

Yes live mixing

I'll probably practice in my room for a while before I actually went anywhere to do it so I can become as familiar as possible with the controller and learn some different techniques

Torq 2 and torq xponent

Trinick, where did you buy that and at what cost?

The one on the Pioneer website is 1200 dollars

I'm 15 with a limitted income
halp

I bought it on Amazon at $1,200.

I'm 16 with a less limited income.

Frankly, DJing is expensive. Sorry. You can get stuff ass gear for $200 but nobody will respect you and you'll end up learning some terrible habits due to the poor functionality of these stuffty controllers.

Think of it this way; if you're showing up at a venue with a $1,000+ laptop that just holds the tracks, why would you use $200 equipment that you're actually using to mix and edit the music?

Tis true I have a good bit of money saved up and with Christmas around the corner I think I can get it

are there any dj systems that can connect up SATA hard drives? because you could totally eliminate, the laptop from sets then.
