Don't try to not be still. It's the key.

Everyone is trying to WILD lololol.

WILDing is one of the hardest techniques to master just to let you all know. Some people get to SP faster than others but overall it's a pain in the ass if you are impatient or can't sit still.

Try MILD or DILD or something.

Induced is similar to Initiated so whatever.

MILD is a technique developed by a Dr. Stephen LaBerge. He studied lucid dreams and researched sleep in Stanford, I believe.

His full fledged process of MILD involves one week of training your brain to remember dreams (as your mind is normally wired to forget them) and to recognize dream signs (stuff that is wacky). It's really effective if you do the one week thing, but you pretty much just repeat when you fall asleep "I will become fully and consciously aware that I am dreaming" over and over again. Mentally.

I myself had two lucid dreams just doing this, but if you focus too much on it it keeps you awake. :l

"Mnemonic" is short for "mnemonic device" which is just repeating a statement over and over until you fully remember it.

I would like to try the WILD way of doing it, but hearing the odd noises and hallucinations would make me flip the forget out...

I like Jokey's method personally.

(Also I have an overactive imagination that can get the best of me when some creepy stuff starts to happen)

I did more than simply lucid dream a couple days ago.
I also had full control of my body, and slept with my eyes open.
No one can beat that.

That's the point

I want creepy stuff to happen in my dreams

I used to have nightmares all the time a few years back and then it suddenly stopped

I started to like it
