I'd be willing to switch out Rotom entirely, but I don't know what I'd go with instead

Good 'ol CoroCoro is releasing information about a new Pokemon game in their next issue on January 14th. Nothing is known about that game, but CoroCoro claims it to be a "world first shocking announcement".
If you're set on having the Rotom in Heat Form, I suggest switching him out for a Chandelure instead. Overall better balanced and stronger, plus I believe it has Levitate too.

EDIT: Oh, unless you were trying to keep the thunder+fire mix.
Dragonite would do nicely for that.

EDIT: nvm found it under promotions

I was switching forms so I wouldn't have two ghosts.

A Dragon would probably fill that spot nicely, but I'm not sure about Dragonite. I'm thinking Salamence.

I need my Spiritomb to get Nasty Plot but I can't find the charger for my DS Lite to transfer from Diamond and it's dead :l

Any recommended replacements?

Dragonite vs. Salamence comes down to Sp. DEF vs SPD.

On one hand, Dragonite can take a non-STAB Ice Beam, Salamence cannot.

On the other hand, Salamence is a great deal faster than Dragonite and might kill sooner.

It depends if you want fast sweeper or tankish sweeper. If it were my choice I'd grab Dragonite, but it's up to you.

Black/White's starters are pretty stuffty except for Oshawott.

The first three generations had the best starters IMO.
Except mudkip.
forget mudkip.

Swampert was a loving badass.

Swampert was a loving badass.

His evolutions are pretty good.
But IMO, mudkip is pretty bad for a starter.

swampert was a terrible starter
it managed to make itself weaker to both what it was supposed to resist AND to itself

Eh, I only really used him because he learned mudshot, which was pretty OP for the first couple of gyms or so.

I liked Blaziken for some reason. Probably the best starter in Hoenn.

Venusaur, Feraligatr and Sceptile are teh win IMO
