Okay so I did the generating for my second Mystery Egg Challenge, and honestly...
I'm kinda forgeted :/
I will use:
From Kanto, Gloom and Raichu. I dislike both, especially Raichu, but they're OK Pokemon.
From Johto, Corsola and Dodrio. Corsola sucks IMO, but I love Dodrio.
From Hoenn, Crawdaunt and Walrein. Love the hell out of both of them, but this is what my team looks like.
Grass/Poison
Electric
Normal/Flying
Water/Rock
Water/Dark
Water/Ice
SO.
MUCH.
WATER.
If I run into an Electric-type, I am totally forgeted.
What do I do, can anything here learn Earthquake or something.
The only saving grace is I don't have to dump craploads of Water HMs onto one Pokemon just so they can be wasted in battle, they can have other moves as well.
also I may be ambitions but I'm going to do it a third time as well.
What constitutes as a "completion" is beating the Elite Four and becoming champion.
third team gogogo
From Kanto, Electrode and Sandslash. Electrode is one of my favorites - a blisteringly fast Special Sweeper. Sandslash has a badass sprite and STAB Earthquake.
From Johto, Magcargo and Granbull. Magcargo is okay, Granbull is win.
From Hoenn, Whiscash and Manectric. Another Electric-type is NOT what I wanted, but with a lack of a Water-type HM Slave, Whiscash is a welcome addition, plus another STAB Earthquaker.
So it looks like this.
Electric
Ground
Fire/Rock
Normal
Water/Ground
Electric
Decent type spread, getting Manectric in the Hoenn round is what really does it in for me. I actually prefer Manectric, because he (I believe) can also get a nasty Fire Blast. Having two pure Electric-types opens up a huge weakness to the omni-present Ground-type. Whiscash is going to have to be Mr. Reliable to keep both Electric Pokemon in play.
Whiscash covers the asses of Electrode and Manectric, Magcargo covers Whiscash.
I would have certainly preferred to have Ninetales or Houndoom covering Whiscash's fat butt, but Magcargo certainly isn't the worst thing I could have gotten. The 4x weakness to Water sucks, though.
Sandslash can roosterblock anything coming after Magcargo, I suppose, and Granbull has a pretty good movepool to do stuff with.
