My adventures were cut short. Far too short. D;
I shot Birch another e-mail, just about ready to break my laptop in half. See, when you're in the back of a moving truck, you tend to make a lot of typos. Not to mention the professor asks such stupid questions. "And your name is?" Hm...I dunno, maybe Kiin? My e-mail's KiinSpencer@ANS.com. You'd think such a genius would be able to figure it out. And "Are you a boy or a girl?" I mean, he can't see me, but shouldn't that have been brought up before now? I mean, we're like ten minutes away. Whatever. I guess I'm just mad because I'm in the back of a moving truck. Dad flew first class, mom got to ride in the spacious cab, and I'm getting crushed by boxes. Typical.
...At least I get a nice big room. Plus, the mover's are pretty cool. I mean, I've seen Vigoroth before, but only in a battle, never in such a casual, slow-paced setting. Really lets me appreciate the way they ripple with muscle and move with such energy. Hard to believe they evolve from and into some of the slowest thing on this side of Johto. Wow, I sure do get sidetracked easily...
Haha, dad's on the TV. I guess they're interviewing the region's newest Gym Leader. I think it's his first day today, since he flew in a week ago. Must be nerve-wracking, even for a great trainer like him. I really hope he likes this job, and we don't get transfered to somewhere stupid like Sinnoh. Or worse, Orre.
Mom's being pushy, as usual, making meet the neighbors. She doesn't seem to believe that I already know who Professor Birch is, despite the fact that she was the one who gave me his e-mail address. Oh mom.
The neighbors seem nice. Maybe too nice? They didn't seem to mind that some weird kid was pushing into their house at six o' clock. In fact, they welcome me, and try to hook me up with their daughter. Whatever, I guess people here are as friendly as they were back in Azalea Town. Their daughter, I think they called her May? isn't up here. But a ball is. Wonder what's in it. Doubt she'd know... Whoops, she knows. Oh well, she's pretty good looking, so I wouldn't mind getting a yelling at. If you know what I mean... Oh man, she's weird. Telling me her life story already certianly deducts some hotness points. ..."I'm supposed to go help my dad," she says. So, May, being Birch's daughter, goes on her computer. Yeah, that'll help his field work.
Haha, little kid has no Pokemon, so she wants me to go investigate. Funny, earlier she wouldn't let me out because I had no 'Mons. Did she forget? Or just stop caring. Little kids are funny. ...No wonder she decided to let me break her rule; Pr. Fieldwork is getting attacked. I suppose I should help him. He shouted something about Pokemon in his bag. Guess I better look in it. Let's see: Lugia (haha, no way this is real), Whishcash (huh, this is new to me.), and Lunatone (Also new, but it's pretty cool looking.). Lunatone, I choose you!
ENTER BATTLE VS. Wild Zigzagoon!
Lunatone tackled its way to victory, hardly taking any damage at all. The 'Goon looked pretty messed up after words, I felt pretty bad for the poor little guy. He got crashed into by the Moon, after all. So maybe he's lucky that all he has is a bloody nose, and black eye?
Birch took me back to the lab, talking the whole way. So does he really like fieldwork? Or do his lab assistants just kick him out for being too annoying? Either way, he's bad at it, judging by the Zigzagoon incident. On the other hand, he just gave me the 'Tone, so he's pretty cool in my book. Dumb, but cool. Agh, I told him I didn't want to name my Lunatone, but I was just kidding. How was I supposed to know that was my only chance? Poor thing's not gonna have a name, now.
Gotta go battle May, now, apparently. What kind of dad says to "teach her what it means to be a trainer"? Especially since she wanted to be a researcher. I realized this was my first time in the tall grass. Nervous, since I have no idea what to expect.
ENTER BATTLE VS. Wild Lickatung!
I sent out Lunatone, and had it start off with a tackle. Not much damage was done, so I got nervous. Lickitung, well, licked. Super effective. Ouch. And paralyzing. Oucher. Worst, Harden was my only other move, and Lick is special. I try to tackle again. She Licks again. Lunatone can't move, because of paralysis. I begin to bite my nails. I've never been this...adreline-charged before. This is intense. I shout out something like "tafckle!" my annunciation failing with my stress. Lunatone still can't move, and get's licked once more. My 'Dex says it only has 1 HP left. I search my bag desperately for a potion, or Oran Berry, or anything! Nothing's there. I hope I can crit, and tackle, a final times. Lickatung uses Lick, and swallows my 'Mon before it even gets a chance to attack.
In a fury, I tackle the 'Tung myself. It just licks me. I can't move. She looks at me hungrily. I fear this could be the end of me. I...wet myself. Officer Jenny hears my screams, and tranqs the Lickatung. It falls on me. Ouch.
I wake up in the hospital, stupid Pokemon broke my arm in three places, and two of my ribs. They euthanised the monster, but it was too late for Lunatone.
Days later, I tear up my trainer card, and burn the pieces. My tears nearly put it out.
I hardly new my Lunatone, and yet...it meant so much to me.
