You just described it yourself. The benefit is that it's free.

Ok, I thought there was more to it or something.

Can someone explain in a nutshell what EV training is? I know it's something about how if you fight certain pokemon you'll get a certain amount of EV points, but is there any reason for me to do that instead of just cramming vitamins down my mon's throat or taking it to the dojo/ring/coliseum on join avenue?

Idk what those last three things are, but vitamins only raise the EVs up until they are 100 in whatever stat. So if you want to speed it up, use vitamins for the first 100, then EV train the rest (which is capped at 252 if you don't have a specific value you're going for).

There's going to be an informational/Q&A panel for X&Y hosted by Junichi Masuda and Tsunekazu Ishihara at E3 next month. It'll be held on June 11th at 9et/6pt and will last around 90 minutes.

Also a reminder that the wi-fi Deoxys will no longer be available after the 31st (this Friday) so make sure you pick it up if you're interested.

Haven't you noticed? It's socialist society.

im playing pokemon hg/ss and b/w right now omg. it's so good. on pokemon black i have the one pokemon i use, Stoutland, who has take down and i can literally take down any pokemon.

Uh, and on hg I have 1 badge and 5/6 pokemon in my party. I have Onix, an Egg, Cyndaquil's 2nd evolution (cant remember), and some others.

I literally smondayed when I saw "Stoutland." The only normal type worth using is Snorlax.

EDIT: This is based on how cool I perceive them to be. Don't mistake that for serious.

Tauros?

Kanghaskan?

Togekiss?

Miltank?

Zangoose?

Level 1 rattata with focus sash, endeavor, and quick attack?

Nope! Go 'lax or go home.

At the second gym I can't loving beat Scyther. I have all pokemon below level 10 and then level 19 Cyndaquil's second evolution, but scyther kills me with quick attack surprisingly enough after i can only get 10 damage on him with quick attack. and he's level 14.
