could You imagine jumping while carrying 20 pounds of money?

Why do the new gen pokemon look so stupid nowadays? remember back in the good ol' days when Silver and Gold were the coolest things in the world? I haven't done anything associated with the game in years, but by the looks if it, they lost their creeativity.

creativity is hard to maintain when you have to reinvent yourself every year. i mean they've already pretty much covered every animal in existance so it's getting harder and harder each time and so they have to overlap, and of course people give them tons of stuff for it

i don't like all of the designs, sure, but then again i don't like all of the gen 1 or 2 pokemon either (though i think every gen 3 pokemon is good just sayin)

You're blinded by nostalgia

Noctowl is literally an owl, and Unown are just stylized letters of the alphabet

Gen 3 was just plain awesome. I still somehow remember many names. Rayquaza has got to be the coolest legendary out there.

I'm sure every gen has pokemon like that. It still had pretty original ones like Typhlosion, Pichu, Sudowoodo, Wobbuffett, Scizor, Umbreon, legendary dogs, Lugia, hooh and more.

I'm sure every gen has pokemon like that.

Then there we go

I like the topic title because it could be interpreted as "It is confirmed the next game will have new Pokemon." :cookieMonster:

They don't focus on themes when designing the Pokemon of a new generation.
That only ever gets done with Legendaries to an extent.

Each generation adds new Pokemon that are simply based off of Animals, or are based off of objects, or are based off of stories/myths from around the world, and those few that are just seemingly random.

I don't think they've lost creativity at all in making new Pokemon. It very much is the case of being blinded by nostalgia to think that new Pokemon aren't as creative as the originals.
Especially given how unoriginal some of the first/second gen Pokemon were.

I definitely think that a lot of people who disaprove of entire generations of Pokemon are just over-reacting to individual Pokemon from a generation that they don't like. (I don't like Seel or Dewgong, but I don't dislike the whole of Gen 1)
And other than that, a lot of hate for entire generations just comes from people bandwagoning in hatred.

The games are no worse than when they first came out.

waiting for my brother to finish platinum so i can chain shiny eevees zzz

on the bright side i will be getting a 3ds for X/Y if not use my sister's since she doesn't loving use it.

I'd be skeptical if it weren't on Serebii, but the new issue of CoroCoro has been scanned and we now have:

New Pokemon

Gogoat's Grass-type pre-evolved form Meekuru (Jp), Normal-type Digging Pokemon Horubii (Jp), and this generation's Pikachu clone, Electric/Fairy-type Antenna Pokemon Dedenne (Jp). The screen in the lower left is from a place called the Super Training Facility.

MegaEvolutions

This one's a doozy, whether these are actual evolutions (which would mean previously unheard-of 4-stage evolutions) or simply alternate forms I do not know, but the following Pokemon will be in the game:

- MegaBlaziken, with the ability Speed Boost
- MegaLucario, with the ability Adaptability
- MegaAbsol, with the ability Magic Bounce
- MegaMawile, with the ability Huge Power; both it and Mawile have also gained Fairy as their second type
- MegaMewtwo, with the ability Insomnia
- MegaAmpharos, with the ability Mold Breaker and also gaining Dragon as its second type

They are evolved/changed by a process known as, appropriately, "Mega Evolution", which could be the process mentioned when Pangoro was revealed. A "Mega Stone" is mentioned, but not much more.

The first event for X&Y will be the distribution of a Torchic from October 12th to January 15th holding the "Blaziken Knight" item. It can be evolved into MegaBlaziken.

The girl above is Koruni (Jp), a Gym Leader who teaches you about MegaEvolutions.

More information as it is revealed and translated. These are all literal translations from Japanese and are subject to localization changes.
