It's probably to show off the Legendaries and their changes, if any.

At a guess I would imagine it's Rayquaza, Primal Rayquaza, Latios and Latias.

In the same way it makes sense for Dialga. It kinda doesn't.

It's body is made of steel. I think if any change were to be made it would indeed be fairy psychic, but most likely steel fairy.

First post in italics. I was innacurate with its entire body being metallic, but only the yellow parts (such as its head) are supposedly made out of gold. the source also gives other reasons why jirachi is a part steel type.
