pls tell me they give castform a mega-evolution
To what benefit?
It already changes type depending on weather, and changing it's ability through mega-evolution would remove the defining trait of castform, the fact that it changes type and appearance with the weather.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhBSCthYTLE&feature=youtu.be Mega Sableye!

It is said that Mega Sableye uses the jewel as a powerful defensive tool in battle. From behind the shelter of the jewel, it can readily exploit the opponent’s weaknesses and take advantage of any openings. It is said that the jewel hardens into such strength that no attack can even make a scratch!

Looking forward to seeing what changes when it Mega Evolves, the trailer made it look like it gained more offensive power but this sounds like it gets more defensive

No one said it's ability had to change to be fair. It'd just look different and become more powerful. It'd be odd though, I think it'd be better with a regular evolution if they did something like this rather than a mega though.

Maybe stone/rock based evolutions? but I guess that would make it a less flexible eevee.

Haven't almost all the mega-evolutions so far changed the type and/or ability of the pokemon though?
Only one's not to that I can see are Tyranitar and Abomasnow.
I personally don't see much point in giving a mega-evolution if it's just to make it look cooler and give it's stats a buff.

But maybe just making a cool looking Pokemon is part of the reason for why certain Pokemon have mega-evos. I don't know why they chose all the pokemon they did.

well it's based off of the teru teru bozu thing from japan so maybe it summons permanent rain?

really i just want to see if they keep the stupidly huge breasts on it

Yea most have changed but some, for example Mega Medicham's didn't. If they gave something like that a mega I don't think they'd completely remove what made it unique. As for Megas I don't know how they decide, I feel like looks are quite often a factor.

Maybe then its mega is part water type, but the original typing stands so there are combinations like water/fire, ice or ground.

That'd honestly be really cool. I don't know what I'd expect to see with this though. On the subject of weather, Weather Ball needs a buff I think, to at least 65.

Edit: Actually, I think Castform's ability needs to be changed to work with Misty Terrain, Electric Terrain, Grassy Terrain, and Sandstorm and get new forms.

Its ability could also allow for the rain to cause sandstorm equivalent damage, but that could make it too op.

weather ball gets 2x damage buff in any weather condition. this is why they give you a castform right before fortree, so you can weather ball the altaria before it dragon dances your entire team into shreds.

castform is actually really good for nuzlocke, he has a sturdy body and enough versatility to provide powerful super effective attacks.

he has access to fire, ice and water moves that all have 150 base after stab. not bad in the least bit. I have used this little gem before and I feel if he got a mega evo, he'd be played on the same level as slurpuff. A one trick pony, albeit a powerful one.

Wow

I've played through that point at least 10 times and every single time I toss Castform into the box and never touch it again

trust me, I did the same until I realized I could use him on my nuzlocke team and really needed ice for that gym. He took hits like a boss and then swept everyone. (except skarmory, fuk u)

I honestly never knew that, still wouldn't hurt though or matter too much now that I think about it. Anyways, any guesses for the next Mega announced?

Also holy stuff Sabeyle should've been obvious because Mawile is a ruby exclusive and Sabelye is a Sapphire exclusive.

With that said, I think Milotic will get one because Gyrados got one and they're very similar.

Edit: Water/Fairy anyone? Sure as hell could get passed as one with ease.
