Gain = good.
Loss = bad.
Avalonia takes a loss = bad.
Avalonia replenishes its loss = no profit.
Avalonia takes extra = gain.
Gain = good.
Where I create the non expansion pact:
Avalonia realizes that it has tremendous amounts of land, and passes a non-expansion pact, limiting further expansion of Avalonia's borders on Anagaea to lands taken during wartime from an opposing nation, and to lands purchased from another nation. This seems an opportune time to make sure everyone remembers Avalonia's permanent and standing territorial claim on the lava moon. I'll put the quote in if anyone doesn't believe me; it came just before mood balloons.
You'll note that there is absolutely
NO mention of Erinaum, or anything to imply that any other nation would be held to the terms of the pact.
Sat, your post directly after that reads as follows:
Okay guys, "Erinamian" has been changed permanently to "Erinamese."
Stop using "Erinamian."
A crazed and drunken steam train assassinates a kangaroo and escapes to the ground jellyfish's subterranean bounce house.
No acknowledgemtnt of the pact, or of any intent to abide by its terms. You never said anything to the effect of: "I will hold you to it." or "I will abide by these terms if you do."
The facts noted, I have to wonder where you got the idea that the pact affected Erinaum in the least even. Also, neither of those posts have been edited. If you can provide me with an unedited post from the region of those posts that indicates that you would hold to and hold me to the pact, then I will reconsider my standpoint and my claim.
Also, perhaps you think that this recent expansion is meant to frighten you for not accepting my offer of a lunar land trade or something silly like that. It's not a bravado or revenge expansion. Both roads led to the same place, that it, Avalonia gets more usable land. I at first attempted to go the trade route because I hoped to continue with the non expansion pact unaltered, and that it might test the grounds of political strain. The incorporation of more far side lands into the Avalonian Union is simply a means of atteining the goal of land replenishment/replacement.
If you can show me where my logic in the development of all of this is flawed, I'll be happy to debate the finer points of my words with you, but if all you want is to limit me through the false notion that I've violated a treaty with you, then you're doing nothing but wasting my time and your own.
