Pfft, we only need to get in, take the treasure, and get out
although a distraction would be good, I need to steal the treasure as I am the theif

Well, anyway, I like bats. Is there any way to get them out of here without killing them all?

You go upstairs.  It looks like about 25 bats hanging from the ceiling asleep.

If you want to ask if something is in the attic, do so.  I will say yay or nay.

That goes for everyone.  If you ever wanna ask something like "Is there a chimney?" or "Is there a fountain?" or anything at all.  Just ask and I will say yes or no.

Well DM? Whats on it!

You look at the board.  You see the flier for exterminators, you see a flier for a missing family heirloom, there is a flier for a knitting class, a flier for a town meeting that happened two days ago.  Those are the most recent ones.

k I'm back, now what would be a convincing story.....
do I know of the missing beggar?

Bluff check.  D20:  1.  Epic fail.

Guard: Yeah right you do.  The Mayor will not speak to liars.  Besides, the beggar does not concern us.  Be on your way.

I'll take the knitting class flier and learn knitting

we gotta make clothes somehow!

better wait till nightfall then....

You go to the knitting class.

You learned how to knit!  You are awarded by the knitting group two knitting needles.  You can now make knitting checks, provided you have the string n stuff

better wait till nightfall then....

Since you guys are kind of split up among the city, we'll jump ahead to nightfall for your part.

Guys, after you guys finish splitting up here in Gablin, no more splitting up this extensively.  It is hard to keep track of time/place/people.

Is there anything usable to perhaps just frighten the bats off? Anything at all?

Look for string n stuff in shops

Loud noises?

Loud noises?

Loud noises always just drive them crazy.

Uh, maybe some light? Are there any windows? What time is it?

You could light the lamp hanging on the ceiling.  There are two fairly large windows.  It is afternoon.

You find a large spool of thread for 2 gp.

Okay, be cautious before doing anything hasty. Open one window very slightly and reflect the light from my sword onto one of the bats and see if it does anything.

You open one window very slightly.  The sun shines in and reflects off of your sword onto a bat.  It wakes up and look confused at the light.  He takes off and starts flying around in the room.

Shut the window and sheath my sword, I don't want any more waking up that just him. Is there anything that might attract the bat?

What about looking for bait or bugs?

What about looking for bait or bugs?

I was going for a "monkey see, monkey do" thing, since this bat is bound to wake the others up. I figure if he's calm, the others will be too.
