Ep2 and Portal 2 both mentioned each other in a fairly story-relevant way. Dont act surprised until you have played both games and payed attention to your surroundings.

EDIT: I decided to elaborate because some people havent played either.

HL3 was supposed tot ake place on the Borealis, a Ship owned by aperture science.
In portal 2, you can find the dock that the Borealis departed from, but it is in the run down areas.
If the timing is correct, the ending of portal 2 showed what the world was like at the end of episode 3.

You dense mother forgeters, the half-life stuff is in the same universe and' possibly' at the same time as portal. Were you paying attention when you were loving playing the loving games? In HL2ep2 the loving aperture boat is all "HEY forgetERS, I'M RIGHT HERE!!!!!!" and in Portal 2 you find a big dock, and when you do you get an achievement hinting at the fact that the boat was in that dock.

I see. Well, anyways, black-aperture.com's name servers aren't hosted on valve's servers so it looks like it's probably fake too. Or Valve is trying to pull some weird stuff like they usually do.

What i dont understand is that the Potato Science Project was made by chell. That was when she was a kid...

How long was she trapped in the Science Facility... and how long was she asleep? Are they even in the same time era? Not to mention that Half Life 2 Takes Place somewhere in Russia (due to the Russian text on all the buildings) and Chell ends up in the middle of the US. Also we dont know how long the Boreallis has been abandoned, or how long it has been missing from the drydock in Portal 2

When you wake up in Portal two the machine says "9999" which could be 9 days 9 months and 99 years.

Don't ask me why, but I'm thinking the time issue isn't much of a problem considering Gman can pull Freeman out of everywhere and put him back in wherever.
