AT&T gave us stuffty customer service before, this is a good chance to change.
I'm sorry, I don't detail my thoughts very well on the internet :/
I did this with comcast, they gave us absolute stuff internet and service (i know it was them, we switched routers and it was still not good) and we switched to verizon, now we get so much better internet, and they actually help us rather than making us pay them for service on our already-working systems. I'm not saying you should, i'm just saying this as a recommendation if your mom happens to read this.
Also, we switched to a Netgear, and it's very reliable.
