thinking about getting the nexus 7 instead of the kindle fire, does anybody have this device and can tell me how good it is?

Does this update apply to all android phones?

Kindle fire is good if you want to buy amazon products, because it's built to sell you them.
If you're going to get a tablet get a droid tablet. My dad has an Asus/Acer (Can't remember) tablet and it's really nice. It's also $200.

I feel like jailbreaking my iPad 2 just to dual-boot with Android OS now.

i got a stuffload of books on my dads kindle fire, i didn't like the LACK OF ANDROID MARKET (OR CALL IT GOOGLE PLAY BUT IM CALLING IT ANDROID MARKET)
i know ASUS makes cheap tablets, if i can get the specs of the nexus 7 i might compare them to asus.
edit: asus apparently made the nexus 7.

I have a Galaxy S2 (originally from at&t, then we unlocked and switched to t mobile becus at&t is stuff garbage)
and it's still running on Android 2.3.6. How do I get the latest update? When I try to update from settings, it connects to the AT&T whatever. I don't know if that affects anything. Also, is tinkering with the S2 worth it? (rooting n stuff)

I have a Nook Color. You can root it pretty easily and then it's like an Android tablet with Honeycomb.

You use this to do it.  I don't know if it will still work for an unlocked phone but this is what you have to use and I have a Galaxy S2 from AT&T.

How do you unlock it, btw?  And could I use it with Verizon if I did?

Can anyone explain why my 4.0.3 AT&T Galaxy S2 suddenly just died in the night?

forget yeah!
i got a android 2.3 platform.

  • 4.0" super AMOLED display
  • 5.0 megapixel camera with amazing flash.

I have to start paying attention to this thread now that I'm getting my Incredible back

I contemplated getting a newer model but I don't think I'd make good enough use of it

5.0 megapixel camera with amazing flash.
that's not good

not even for a phone, now

My outdated Samsung Galaxy S is still running 2.2
Oh, the horror.
