Bushido's backpack suggestion has been fully implemented. It was a good idea, too, because now I have a better understanding of how image mounting works, everything is organized, etc. Here's a screenshot. Switching between weapons will put your most lethal gun that is not being used on your back (hip if it's a handgun).

What if the mayor simply leaves?
The mayor could just leave the server any day and everyone has to disconnect some time.

No it just makes him a boring lousy mayor who did nothing for the server, and so people won't want to vote for him anymore. unless next election the rest of the candidates are infamous for screwing things over.

I don't think being a mayor means babysitting a bunch of toddlers. I'm sure there will be admins for the serious stuff, and the police force is there to protect the citizens.

The mayor doesn't hold all the authority in the town, either. You still have your policemen... It's not like things will change when he leaves.

After all, CityRPGs have been without mayors for ages. problem?

I think the policemen should get some sort of firearm.
It's rather difficult to become a SWAT officer and it's not easy to arrest a player that is armed with an assault rifle.

The voting system reminds me of Mr. Wallet's Democratic Socialism mod, or what it was called, where everyone would campaign like idiots until voting time and becoming the president/leader who then screwed over the citizens with taxes and whatnot.

This is going to be a hell of a lot of fun.

Uh, no. Not at all. They aren't Batman.
