Okay just wondering. Thank you.

if say, the mayor is unpopular, and a schism is created between the populace- rebels and loyalists- and someone assasinates the mayor and is jailed permenantly without parole, can he be busted out by other rebels/voted out by a rebel mayor?

It would be interesting if a militia of disgruntled citizens occupied a part of the city fighting back police then forming a separatist city.

But yeah would Mayor pardons be a part of the game? Say the Mafia's main hitman was behind bars the mayor could pardon him to get in with the Mafia.

Read your answer to Tomcat.

Meh, I'll just leave this here. I'm bored.

Out of curiosity, would you guys want it to enter a sort of closed beta again or just jump directly into open play?

I don't think I've done anything t destabilize the mod, but I'm not 100% I fixed the day/night crashing thing. I'll probably have to do closed beta again or something.

OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's really up to you. If the bugs are minor, I'd open it.

But if you have huge concerns, then I would keep it in beta until those concerns are relieved.

I'll have all your civics done really soon.

Can the old beta testers come back?  :cookieMonster:

He cant possibly find all the bugs alon- Owait, it's Iban. nvm.

I'd love it to be open, however if it isn't stable enough for the number of players likely to join in and the game was constantly giving out problems where we couldn't really proceed there wouldn't be much fun to enjoy.

If there are problems that give people an advantage whatever they may be it wouldn't be too good though I personally want to play it as soon as possible.

There are no income taxes, only sales taxes.

I have an idea.

Why not make a job where you have to be responsible for the transfer of guns to criminals? You would have to add a mechanism to force the person selling the gun mark up the price. It wouldn't hurt to maybe make the person selling the gun leave a clue if the deal takes too long, and you could mix it in with that sort of cinematic type of view you have planned for mugging.

Additionally, if possible, illegal gun deals should be a witness-based crime where if a cop sees you doing it, you become wanted.
