I paid $20 for this game three years ago and enjoyed it greatly in all that time. Present day: It's free, but lacks many features unless a player pays for something in the Mann Co. store. I really couldn't care less.

it is a lowered price. it's now 5 dollars, down from 20 bucks
(you can only buy tf2 items with steam wallet, and steam wallet only allows 5 dollar amounts to be added)
the point is that if you really bought it that long ago, you've gotten your 20 bucks worth, stop bitching

Valve let anyone who wants to play this amazing game. You have more people to play with, the company is thriving from the Mann Co., along with the community contributors. You probably would've spent whatever your price on tf2 was on McDonalds or a game that would rot in your library. Be glad you had it for as long as you had.Are you loving kidding me? They had enough money from all the sales they were getting, so they let it be free and set up the f2p to p2p system. They are probably making less money than before, and if they are making more, who cares? EVERYBODY WINS. Valve makes money, and makes new games, while anyone can play TF2 and get premium. stuff goes down in price in time. in this case, tf2 became f2p with an item shop, so valve keeps making loads of money off of it.

i payed for tf2 full price back in the day and am quite glad that i was able to experience it all those years before it went free to play
