Erm, it doesnt make it acceptable but you do need to remember, its not finished. If they released an alpha/beta test it is for the reason of finding those bugs.

I'm starting to get annoyed with games being released in Beta. It's a horrible thing that makes game crippling bugs seem acceptable
Public betas are a good thing.

In betas there are no such things as unacceptable bugs because they're betas, so they'll be fixed eventually.
If you don't like a buggy game, don't play a beta version of it.

No, but games like Minecraft were fully purchasable in the beta. When the game was fully released, it was still incredibly buggy because the community and the developers all just got used to it being that way. It just creates a lazy attitude and stufftier games over all. I understand the need for a beta but just sending it to everyone is dumb

Bugs are inevitable.

It's not exactly easy to fix many bugs.

If you really feel that way, become a lead coder for a game/series. Make it bug free then come talk to us. I dont really feel like waiting for a long ass time to see your response. Bugs ALWAYS happen. There is no single coder who can code bug free. The games you see from major companies have had teams of coders working on coding or bug solving. Minecraft has a few members. So overall, pull your head out of your ass and realize, what they did was the best thing they could have done. Mojang grew because of the alpha/beta. Without it, it would be nowhere close to where it is now. I can give you my word, there would still be bugs if they tried to never use an alpha/beta. Besides, Alpha/Beta = Stress test over MANY MANY MANY different variables. If some computer parts dont work as good with certain programs. If certain actions glitch something out. For example in two worlds 2 multiplayer, you can crouch in the main town in a certain spot and walk and it warps you about 2meters to the side saying you were out of bounds. I dont think they planned that. And no one was there to test the stupid things like that, Hence here is where a public test is good. We are the people who push games to their limits finding the stupid bugs that developers wouldnt think of.

Edit: Besides you couldnt purchase minecraft in the alpha/beta. You preordered it and got special access to play the latest version that notch let you as a thanks for supporting. He still didnt owe you guys some amazing game.  People preordered out of their own pockets to play the game. They wanted to, fully knowing it was not done by far. Look how far minecraft has changed since you could preorder.

I think you just contradicted your own statement.

Or I made a typo. Let me fix that. If my whole post is about bugs always happen, one typo should be obvious.

Edit: Although if we really need to continue this conversation, i say it needs a new home, we are stuffting on cube worlds thread. Back to the cube world discussion.

God damnit
This game is giving me a climax but the maker of it doesn't care
At least i can keep my social life for a little bit longer haha

the loving dualwielding stuff

/grabby hands

I wasn't very interested in this game until the XP.
Then I saw you could design your own weapons, and, well....stuff.

Oh yeah and bump :cookieMonster: because this might be out this/next month.

I Can Imagine the controlls to this game......
