Okay what the heck now I'm having issues launching the game. It just skips the login details on the launcher and closes the game a few seconds after startup.

You only need to log in if there are updates to the game, otherwise you can just play. As for the game closing right after startup, I had a similar issue after I screwed with windowed/fullscreen mode, I had to delete the folder and then reinstall. I kept my save folder though.
