Practice what you preach, otherwise I wouldn't have had to correct you.

Well I'm assuming he's only doing cardio, in which case i was going to say he should start on pullups/chinups, situps, pushups and bodywieght squats. I actually wish I started chubby instead of how lean I am, then I wouldn't have to worry about calorie intake to build muscle. As it is my doctor thinks I need at least 5000 calories a day if I want to gain muscle.

fact: 1800 will make anyone fat

No it won't? I just said in the post above I need at least 5000 to gain muscle, my maintenence calorie intake (the amount i need to maintain my current weight alone) is around 4000. 1800 would make the weight fall off me.

I'm just going to chop up our debate to this:

My room mate says the same thing.

He's trolling, ssh, let him do what he does to the lesser beings.

Topic is now about weight loss.

used to weight 136 4 months ago
now im at 150 (in muscle btiches)

I do elliptical. It adjusts intensity automatically to maintain a heartrate between 156 and 166 -- 161 being ideal for my age.
After 30 minutes I'm just done. I try to up to 35 but I haven't really adjusted to the workout enough so that I can up the length.

And I do use weights. There's a big machine downstairs with a list of 13 or so different lifts you can do and I do one set (Chest / Shoulders / Back / Lower Body / Total Body) every day, 8 reps of a heavy load that leaves me shaking after the 8th.

Today was kind of bad, though. Even though I did everything perfectly and met expectations, I did it at 2pm after having only eaten 450 calories for the day. I was at walmart with my mom when she noticed I was having cold sweats and kind of out of it. I keep forgetting to eat.

I would imagine if you're shaking after doing your workout than that would be rather unsafe. That's how you hurt yourself.

I mean the kind of shaking where your arm is kind of unsteady because you quickly accommodated to a heavy weight, so everything feels really light.

1800 calories of low nutrition, low fiber, high sugar food is still pretty bad.
