I do recall Eksi's avatar having a black, but not pitch black color (somewhere around 0.150?), with hands of a slightly lighter shade.

...yes, considering if you're using the paid version, just select the area you want trans'd, hit delete, then save it as a ..... it's either a .jpeg, or .png, only one will work with transparencies.
