Interrogate the forget out of BOT

good morning people how are you so yes updates
i'm feeling a lot better today so maybe the updates will be better
anyways

Navaro mumbles something you can sort of understand, something about concussions working wonders against one's skill. You're glad your English translator is still functional after all that time. But the translator aside, you can certainly see what he means. You can just hope it's automatically repaired, you'll probably need everyone in their best health for whatever lies ahead. Especially this Kkryo thing - if Bot isn't joking, it could be pretty serious. It almost makes you wonder if you've already got it - it could be possible that your sensors aren't picking it up because you're already "infected."

You shake your head to clear it. Walking over to the desk, you see a few papers in a semi-neat stack. You pick up the first one and begin reading it.

"Entry #39602. Despite several attempts, none of the cleanup crew were able to take care of that toxic spill. It seems as it the leaders of the compound are contemplating an evacuation: the compound's in the middle of nowhere, what harm could it do if we just abandoned it?

The researchers disagree, saying that they don't know what this Kkryonitte (as they call it) is capable of. They claim it is capable of reanimating the dead, albeit only for a short while. On a single experiment on a human, said human was killed within a mere three hours. It seemed like quite the agonizing death.

In these final hours of uncertainty, there seems to be rumor going around that one of the orbiting Triloslynne want to try using this Kkryonitte for an experiment: something they've called 'Circuit Breaker.' Well, I'm sure that they'll be able to handle it better than we ever di"

The words cut off into some sort of cliche "I died while writing this" thing. Nonetheless, it's pretty interesting.

What now?

you know the building is like
a huge research complex

anyways updating after i finish math schoolwork

update here

"Come on, let's go find another room to search in," Stojanow suggests as you finish searching the room. You didn't find anything too useful, mainly just pens and pencils. You follow Stojanow closely down the dark hallway as Navaro trails behind.

"I wish this place had some light," you mutter.

Stojanow glaces down at you (he's a little taller than you are) before replying, "Well, it would be helpful if you could find another flashlight. Until then, you'll just have to use you eye lights."

Tch. You take the flashlight and walk into one of the rooms. This one seems more like a research room, and on the ground is another employee. You turn him over with your foot, just to be met with an absolutely disgusting sight. You quickly back out of the room and slam the door before you get the chance to take a second look.

"What was that all about?" Navaro asks. You just shake your head and straighten up before walking into the next room, which thankfully lacks dead employees. You manage to find a flashlight and another paper.

What now?

>Navaro: facepalm
>Axiometra: Read the paper you just found, see if there's anything interesting on it.

>ROLL OF IMPROBABILITY: 5

"What's the worse that could be in there, besides a corpse?" Navaro says plainly, facepalming. He's about to open the door when someone- or something- opens it for him. Looking up, he sees the same thing you saw: a grotesque corpse, it's face covered in frightening red lines.

You walk out of the room you were in and see it. It's worse than those zombies you and Stojanow fought earlier.

>CORPSE TARGET: NAVARO
>6
>NAVARO EVASION ROLL: 4

Navaro successfully dodges the corpse's attack and quickly draws his katanas.

>NAVARO TARGET: CORPSE
>ROLL RESULT 1: 3
>ROLL RESULT 2: 6
>
>CORPSE EVASION ROLL: 4

Navaro makes a weak first slash, but the corpse manages to dodge his second attack.

You draw your pistol- there's no sense using your heavy weapon when Navaro and the corpse are so close.

>AXIO TARGET: CORPSE
>ROLL RESULT: 2

You barely miss Navaro's back.

COMMAND GIVE

also EVASION ROLLS:
from now on when you or the enemy roll a 6, the opponent rolls for evasion.
a 3 is a narrow dodge, 4 and 5 are considered successful. 6 and 1 are considered a critical hit.

i'll probably tweak that later or something, but it'll do for now.

>AXOIMETRA TARGET: CORPSE'S HEAD
>NAVARO TARGET: CORPSE
>REYNOLDS TARGET: CORPSE

/noimaginationleft

>AXIO TARGET: CORPSE HEAD
>ROLL RESULT: 1

You miss yet again.

>NAVARO TARGET: CORPSE
>ROLL RESULT 1: 2
>ROLL RESULT 2: 2

Navaro doesn't do too well, either.

>STOJA TARGET: CORPSE
>ROLL RESULT: 4

Stojanow finally decides to use his Vector weapon and lands a solid blow to the corpse's body.

>CORPSE HEALTH: 27/75
>
>CORPSE TARGET: NAVARO
>ROLL RESULT: 6
>
>NAVARO EVASION ROLL: 3

Navaro makes a narrow dodge before making a counterattack.

>NAVARO COUNTERATTACK: CORPSE
>ROLL RESULT: 3

He lands a small blow with one of his katanas.

>CORPSE HEALTH: 20/75

COMMAND GIVE

>HELP
>COUNTERATTACKS
>EVASION ROLLS ALSO INCLUDE A SECOND ROLL.
>IF THIS SECOND ROLL IS A 3, 4, OR 5, THEN THE COUNTERATTACKER MANAGES TO ATTACK.
>THE NUMBERS DETERMINE THE STRENGTH OF ATTACK.

>AXIOMETRA TARGET: CORPSE
>NAVARO TARGET: CORPSE
>REYNOLDS TARGET: CORPSE

>AXIO TARGET: CORPSE
>ROLL RESULT: 4

sweet jesus you actually hit something that's amazing

>CORPSE HEALTH: 3/75

>NAVARO TARGET: CORPSE
>ROLL RESULT 1: 5

Navaro scores a heroic battle-ending blow. Well, that was a lovely fight.

Where to now?

>Axiometra: Check if there's anything "friendly" around
>Markus: Check if there's any stairs around
« Last Edit: February 13, 2012, 12:31:57 PM by Cybertails1998 »

You see an upgrade terminal in the large room up ahead. Markus only sees some stairs going down.

Access terminal?
