Author Topic: Your Thoughts on Anthropomorphic animals? (intelligent discussion)  (Read 20964 times)

I've got a feeling some of the anthropomorphic attraction is based on insecurities with their own bodies or personalities. To make up for the problems people feel they have, they make fursonas of their ideal self. They also have to have an interest in animals. Sometimes though people can be completely confident physically and mentally but they prefer a fictional reality to their own life. I'm just guessing this stuff.

Personally I believe furries are furries since they have
insecurities with their own bodies or personalities
and also since they like the idea of having no responsibility as they assume animals do.

I'm the last one.

The difference of course being that furries will tolerate and tout the stupidest stuff in the world because it's got "furry" content in it.

I.E. House Pets
You really don't think people of other fandoms do that?
I only know one person like you claim. Every time he sees a game/webcomic/anything with anthro characters he tells me "Oh my god, Adam, you have to check this out, it has furries!" and he's annoying and dumb as forget in many other ways.
I, as well as every other furry I know (and that's quite a bit) usually think something along the lines of "yeah, but it's not very good"
Like Housepets, it wasn't funny to me at all, there didn't seem to be a storyline, there were just a few 'cute' moments, but that's not something that I would read it for

Being an animal presents too many problems to be appealing to me. Like having fur - shedding, not being able to get it dry quickly after showering, etc.
For me, having a fursona isn't wanting to be it, it's not covering up my own body, it's just having a character. Like one of my friends who's big into anime, she has her own anime-styled character, it's the same thing really; she doesn't want to be it, she doesn't use it to cover her own body, she just uses it as a character.
You don't even have to have one to be a furry, I know plenty who don't

Stocking is trolling and why are you replying to her?!

So a 13 year old can have love with a 2 year old as long as he doesn't reach 18?
Yep. Because we all know that 13 - 2 = 2 right?

Tezuni
Funny because I talked him out of his blind hatred and I'm not even a furry.  :cookieMonster:

They both look like they're closet homoloveuals.

lol loving weaboo

Wow, you must be dumb

Pretty sure I was the one who showed you this.  Glad to see it's in good use.

My friend Kevin thinks that's what all furries are.

I'm gonna ask if he watches 1000 Ways to Die tomorrow

And now, the epic conclusion

"Hey you ever watched 1000 Ways to Dai?"

"I have, yeah"

Well, only for some.
When you think about it, though, if there were real furries, or if you could be one, there would be some upsides:
No visible acne
Expert balancing
Easy to remember faces
No need for heavy winter coats

Yeah. I don't really like them because of the stereotypical thought of loveytime with these things.

Also I don't like sonic.

And then many downsides, such as the ones I listed in my previous post

Yeah, such as fleas, hot summers, and having to buy stuffloads of shampoo.
They actually are working on a way to add fur and animal stuff to humans. Im positive that there was a topic on it.

This is the worst of the lot.

It was a joke website, if I'm thinking of the same topic
