For one person this is an extremely hard and huge task to do, but I think in the future (3-5 years from now) Badspot should update Blockland with the latest Torque engine (Torque 3D), or at least update it to another older engine (but not as old as 1.3 than 1.3 (Blocklands current engine, which is from 2001.
Some of you may say that Blockland wont even use half of the things Torque 3D can support but the good thing about that is even though we may not use it, it DOES support it, which is good in the log run because there will be many more developers that may be skilled at doing stuff the game engine supports. I know updating the engine will be a tedious task, with all the bug fixes and re coding the game again but years from now no one will want to buy Blockland because (one of its main competitors Roblox) will be having better graphics and features than Blockland (this is the same for any new building games that come out).
So if updating the game engine is possible and it wont break add-ons, then I think it should be done. Who agrees and disagrees?
