Roblox has 4 million+ users and makes tons of money, which gives it the money to do the big scale advertising it does. It is also endorsed by big companies as well which gives it even more capability to advertise. Blockland has hardly any advertising or marketing and has a community of around 30,000, and can only rely on gaining new users by them finding the website or seeing one of the extremely rare ads. Blockland simply cannot compete due to this massive imbalance of power.
If blockland wants to become a big competitor then we need this update plus more advertising and marketing, because right now in comparison to Minecraft and Roblox we are barely a threat.
Blockland has ads? I've seen quite a few when I first found it, but around the time I joined and onwards, I've not seen another one.
Minecraft isn't really relevant. Its only similarities to Blockland are that it uses a cubular system of drawing landscapes and entities, and that it has mods. Unsupported mods, but mods nonetheless.
ROBLOX is mostly a physics/economy simulator(which it doesn't seem to do very well in either fields) imo. It doesn't hardly have any of the depth Blockland has, especially not its RPs, TDMs or building aspect.
Aside from those, I agree 100%.
It seems as though Badspot is trying to keep Blockland alive and make it stronger though. Here's hoping Blockland will survive and get stronger and not fall into obscurity.
