shock as in trauma, not electricity .. who the forget touches hot water and starts screaming OH GOD THE WATER WAS SO HOT OH GOD and then passes out and dies? personally that sounds more like natural selection lol
If they are extremely cold and then quickly transition to a state of being extremely warm they will pass out and most likely die from the shock.
It's like a part of high-school chemistry, you know how a rapid transition between hot and cold does certain things to different gasses and solids? Well yeah, it's like that only with a living object.
It happens to people who go to the Arctic and stuff, inside their shelters it will be relatively warm, but if they rush outside without taking the time to get used to the cold then the shock of the transition can kill them.
Man, and my parents always told me that sitting at home watching the Discovery channel all day was a waste of time
