no, they are an idiot, anyone who doesn't know that flying is less dangerous than driving is absolutely handicapped
if flying was as dangerous as driving nobody would fly lol

I just went with what was probably the common conception of deadly, and I went with the opposite of that.

People are scared of cancer so I didn't pick that.

shock as in trauma, not electricity .. who the forget touches hot water and starts screaming OH GOD THE WATER WAS SO HOT OH GOD and then passes out and dies? personally that sounds more like natural selection lol

If they are extremely cold and then quickly transition to a state of being extremely warm they will pass out and most likely die from the shock.
It's like a part of high-school chemistry, you know how a rapid transition between hot and cold does certain things to different gasses and solids? Well yeah, it's like that only with a living object.
It happens to people who go to the Arctic and stuff, inside their shelters it will be relatively warm, but if they rush outside without taking the time to get used to the cold then the shock of the transition can kill them.

Man, and my parents always told me that sitting at home watching the Discovery channel all day was a waste of time

Hypothermia

yeah just like people who don't know the difference of a picture vs. a guitar pick 8]

Generally I would consider flying much more dangerous than driving because the chances of surviving a plane crash are extremely slim compared to that of a car crash.

For any other reason though it's much safer

I wasn't paying attention to the guitar

except that it happens very rarely
there's a reason that you don't hear about car wrecks on the news, but you do hear about every plane crash

I agree, but the question is really asking which type of transport puts you more at risk of dying, a plane or a car. You have a higher chance if getting in a car accident than a plane crash. Though, I still don't like to fly since like you said, the chances of surviving a plane crash are slim. It's one of my fears.

No matter what transportation you use theres always still the risk of something dangerous happening.

Yes. But what are the chances of surviving a car crash compared to a plane crash?

not if you are flying in an endless void occupied by only you and nothing else at all, without the ability to collide with yourself, meaning that any attempts to touch yourself or otherwise come in contact with another part of your body will result in it passing right through

Some people would be so scared they literally would go into shock.

not if they were just a magical anomaly, and didn't actually have any organs to carry out bodily functions that could fail

The power would destroy them.

This would be more accurate if you asked a bigger forum.
