I went ahead and got mass effect 1 for the xbox and mass effect 2 for the ps3. Hopefully these will hold me till they change the ending/talk about it.

Why didn't you get Mass Effect 2 for Xbox as well? That way you could import your Mass Effect save.

Maze24 has a long history on nonsensical behavior it seems.

I bought Mass Effect 3 for the PS3, and since Mass Effect 2 seems to have the biggest effect on Mass Effect 3, I went ahead and got it for PS3.

yes it does have an impact on 2 but its not a huge impact. I think the only important thing that happens is that you choose if wrex lives or dies, and in the little comic scene at the beginning of 2 lets you decide that. Also there is no ps3 port for ME1 and I had bought ME3 before buying these 2 games.
