It's all from the same show wtf

When I saw this thread, I instantly thought of this:

Anime is such an overused and overestimated drawing style in cartoons so it's not like it's doing any good.

I'd appreciate if people started learning how to draw cartoon-like characters instead of anime all the time. It's a crutch.

anime is a very nice art form though, and it needs no changing.

Plus, they picked the American cartoon where everyone is supposed to be normal and ugly.

I just hate cartoon eyes with a passion.

Why would you represent American Animations with... That garbage.

I can only draw extremely cartoony manga styles because realism is too hard for me. D:

But I should really practice more realistic styles, and then stylize it as manga.

That's what some professional manga artists do, anyways.

There isn't just one type of manga style y'know. There's tons. Some are really realistic, but the cartoony styles are so much more common.

It's simply different styles.

The only difference I noticed was that, in the North American cartoon style, you could actually tell the difference between each race, where as in the Japanese cartoon style, everyone looks pretty much the loving same. At least in these two images.

american animated media tends to use more normal looking people.

king of the hill has a bunch of guys in their 40s as protagonists, what did you expect in terms of pretty people?
