I wish I could do something about those taskbar icons other than hide them.
Also I think I will remove the clock and date from the Rainmeter skin and use that whole space left to get shortcuts to other items or functions.

By the way, thinking of animating some of the blue bars in the above pic of my desktop. Geektool uses bash scripts and Applescripts to do the fancy stuff. Anyone got any suggestions on how to make an animated item for Geektool?
