but doing all that just for shaddows and stuff whatever it is isn't worth it.
bolded is the wrong part about the statement.
kompressor has already stated mutliple times that the interiors and terrain are holding up future updates due to their complexity. much of what they code has to work around the problems interiors and terrain have, and when they're out of the way it will be much easier for them to work on other issues with blockland. The shaders and shadows are just a new feature they are keying in with the change so that it doesnt seem like the update is only removing things.
maybe a while later they may be able to figure out a less hacky way to reintegrate terrain.
