bolded is the wrong part about the statement.

kompressor has already stated mutliple times that the interiors and terrain are holding up future updates due to their complexity. much of what they code has to work around the problems interiors and terrain have, and when they're out of the way it will be much easier for them to work on other issues with blockland. The shaders and shadows are just a new feature they are keying in with the change so that it doesnt seem like the update is only removing things.

maybe a while later they may be able to figure out a less hacky way to reintegrate terrain.

They are not JUST removing Interiors and terrain for shadow and shaders, but to help add even better future updates as well.

Indeed.

However I muted the video, and played "Goodnight moon" by Shivaree.

I love how the flashlight mods now have practical uses and not there just for flavor.

I don't think they're going to fix that anytime soon. It would be awesome if they did though. Just imagine the awesomeness that stained windows would produce!

Because transparent bricks aren't affected by shadows. The Shadows and Shaders just act like there aren't any bricks there.
