You might not want to ever be 100% sure of anything

i am a christian too but op was asking for a religion war

and yes littledude is right, in a way animals do evolve, as in the characteristics of them change in the population over time, but we're not talking about something from pokemon, like turtles transforming into trees

i hope this thread gets locked as soon as possible

Oh okay.

I was asking a serious question btw.
But how exactly could you have evidence against a theory like evolution?
if you've ever watched one of those creationism vs. evolution debates, the creationists bring up some pretty notable points.

such as the complexity of life couldn't have been derived from such a basic organism like a protozoa because of  how complex it is. the complexity of a human body surpasses that of a super computer

and is there anything wrong with not believing something that you don't think is right?
Why would any intelligent, rational, sane human being willingly ignore evidence and instead choose to believe a centuries-old book that contains so many inaccuracies and contradictions? It's the very same anti-scientific and anti-progress mindset that Rave was referring to.
What really gets me is that many of these people then have the audacity to hate on the people who choose the explanation that supports evidence.

Like?
Origin of species, Origin of the Universe, geocentrism vs heliocentrism, flat earth vs round earth, cause of disease, just to name a few current and past issues.

"Cuz tha bahble tells me so!"

I don't know alot about evolution but I think people don't see natural selection in a clear perspective.

Interesting, very interesting.

you cant change that.
Woops, we have alarms going off!

Question to believers: Why?

who's to say the relevence of natural selection if a man in the sky just dropped every animal onto earth?

those animals better hope they have parachutes

I don't get what you're saying.

Although I am a Christian, I do feel that some aspects of evolution do exist.
But I certainly do not believe that some land walking, shallow water searching animal developed into, what today is, whales.

False. Just cause we haven't confirmed the exact process through which life began, doesn't mean it didn't start without the intervention of a creator. Although one theory of how life could have started was confirmed in 2009 by Jack W. Szostak, Elizabeth Blackburn, and Carol W. Greider, for which they were co-awarded a Nobel Prize.

What exactly did they say?

The complexity argument is bullstuff. So what if something is complex? That doesn't mean that it was made by God, or that it was made through Evolution. It proves nothing.
