the AI is pretty stupid at times
100% the truth.
im confused as how to gather stone. and where do i put minecart thingies
When you mine/see ore on the ground. If the grid is 4x4 then you can place a Mineshaft, They are only needed if you want to keep the ore there and don't want to mine it so you get it forever.

and to make mineshafts you need torches which invole coal
shafts are for later on once you have coal

First of all he got it from the site.
Second of all I think it is an older version.

the AI isnt stupid, you're the god and they sometimes wont listen to their god

i kinda like how the AI sorta do their own thing.

I don't mean all the time only sometimes. I had one guy and told him to kill a cow for food and I had the butchering thing at the top and he started mining so I candled it and then he went to get get wood. I was mad because he died after he got the wood.

image heavy, brace your star fish

^ my farming area

^ residential area with infirmary and dining room

^ manufacturing, food stockpile on left

^ there's a dungeon right below me with loving iron and coal so I'm decking out my civvies to fight the spiders, that's why I'm mass producing farm animals and butchering them for bones

I really suck at getting a stable base going, like I will get all the rooms built and have food then instantly run out. Or I'll have Like one house and have people getting food while others need food but I can't get it to fast.

use bread auto-production and in the meantime pick fruit while you get it going

This game is incredibly broken at the moment. Better off waiting for a later patch if you dont want a headache. Citizens never stockpile items despite me having it set as the number one priority. In fact they ignore the priority system overall as I also have wall construction and tilling/chopping set far ahead item construction and yet they rarely cut wood and theyve yet to even start on the stone walls Ive had laid out for an hour and half now.

I also have an auto-production of torches set to make sure there are always two torches available yet for the past hour they havent made any, instead deciding to run off and make only items such as doors and decorations for themselves.

Again as i said before, Colten, "the AI isnt stupid, you're the god and they sometimes wont listen to their god"

That's how they add realism to the game, they won't listen to you sometimes and go their own way.

No the AI is stupid.

Thats like me making a game where you can assign orders to a stick and hell never move.

If you know what's good for you, immediately forbid bones from going into your raw materials stockpiles. Your citizens will run through a jungle and get shanked by a froggy if something dies and a bone is spawned.

bones are great for early armor lol
you guys are weird, my citizens beat the stuff out of froggies - by the time I set up my bread setup fully, I have like six or seven stone spears

no, there are points where the AI is loving handicapped, and it's not deliberate
