I'm not a fan of Ephialtes moderation, though I can understand that he can't really do anything more than the administrator does if thats the way the admin wants it.

I think the Blockland forums would be a better place if there was a collective team. An admin, at least one global moderator, and then a lesser powered group of helpers (maybe four to five people) who regularly moderate using a clear and concrete set of rules.

This approach works for communities that have tens of thousands of members. It could work here, and still allow Badspot, and Ephi if he wanted, to be hands off.

Its just a matter of if anybody wants to invest the time to do it.

I don't like ephi as a person but I'm pretty sure he does moderate like anyone else would
really though there isn't much to moderate
sometimes people post in the wrong board, but in that case they're often told about it and take care of it themselves
usually when he does have to move topics, he does put them in the right area

I take the damn word back, now respond to my acutal point. my point isn't that icy is insulting people, my point is that badspot isn't "inactive", and that he's more active now than he was (Which i have posted proof of TWICE now, once in the very post you quoted)

There are 3 pages of bans in the last month (Search it yourself, that's more than the last 2 months have had) and hes just announced a MAJOR update to the game (which to me means he's busier than ever). That sounds like pretty good moderation to me.

However if you're going to use that insult as a basis for your argument, you kinda do. And typically whenever Icy posts, about 90% of the people who post here go on the opposing side with no reason to even join the argument in the first place, just because its about Icy

I'm going to post once more to make sure my point is fully understood

My point: Badspot is just as active as he ever was (i'm not arguing about ephi, he's still moving topics around like a boss)
There are 3 pages of bans in the last month (search "User was banned for this post, limit to 30 days) That's more than the last 2 months have seen. This means he's responding to our reports.
We've seen a key deactivation in the last month too (based on something that happened INGAME, not on the forums). This means he's keeping up to date with what is going on.
This is all the while he's working on a major update (which means he's busier than normal)

That's my case.

I put it to icygamma and whoever else agrees with him to post PROOF that the moderation is crap and that the board is 'out of control' or whatever (ACTUAL PROOF)

If you compare this website to other websites on the Internet, can you really say that its a success when it comes to moderation and a controlled and well managed user base?

I don't even have the energy to argue with people who think this website has no issues. If its not obvious to the people in the topic, why not have a ponder over to WOT and see some of the comments there.
