BONER

also, I don't think I want to proceed with the torch till lights don't actually go through bricks, I also want to remake some of the current ones, the brick block mainly, I want to make that all side textures if it looks better

I don't wish to make the blocks 100% exact to the texture pack, I'd like to throw in stuff that makes it exclusive to blocklands style too

torches most likely won't look like the mc torches

Man, like that everybody will stop developing stuff until the V21 update hits. >_>

What do you mean?

What do you mean?
There are a lot of people who say:
"Because of the [put promised feature of V21 or higher here] i am going to wait until it is released".
I've seen quite some people say it right now. :|

That is the most handicapped thing i've ever heard because of the fact that we don't even know the release date.We could wait a year, and this won't be released.

Try telling jirue that

I can continue development on anything else in mind; theres tons more content I could work with

This wont ever be released.

I knew it wouldn't be released.
And yes I know I bumped it, and don't ask why either.

Why are people so obsessed with trying to recreate other games in Blockland rather than invent new game modes? I can count on one hand the number of custom game modes I've played on Blockland servers that weren't ripped off of another game.

Stop doing this. Please. For the love of God. I want to play some interesting game modes that exploit Blockland's unique properties, like the dynamic brick system, or destructable environments.

I don't want to play Minecraft when I boot up Blockland.
I don't want to play GMod RP when I boot up Blockland.
I don't want to play Jailbreak when I boot up Blockland.
I don't want to play Team Fortress 2 when I boot up Blockland.

When I boot up Blockland, I want to play Blockland. Quit making stuffty copies of other games in this game.

since boomer is now "dead"

who's the new beta tester?

If it involves Port, it won't be finished. Actually if it involves anybody who actively posts in Coding Help, it will never be finished. Most of them are skiddies.

Uh, I don't think you realize this, but people like other games.  They are going to want to blend things together.  I can see that you don't want Blockland to blend in with anything else, but a little diversity never hurt an- Oh wait.
Let me rephrase that.
A little diversity with weapons expands your ideas for new weapons.  An example of this would be the Grenade Launcher on the incredibly old G36C.  I used it a lot, got bored of the same stuffty emmiter explosions, and then it came to me.  Why does it have to shoot grenades?  Why not knives?  Maybe knives that explode, or knives that are on fire!  So instead of asking Why?, sometimes you should ask Why not?  For me, this is what makes games fun for me.  Sticking a big ol' middle finger to logic and ethical-uh-iness.

So your argument in favor of emulating other video games within Blockland is because it's like making a gun that shoots knives?

See the problem with this is that these custom game modes don't really do anything new. Pecon's Boss Battles is basically just the boss fighting minigame from Team Fortress 2 with player-controlled bosses. This mod itself is essentially Minecraft, but in a different engine. Jail RP and CityRPG servers are carbon copies of CityRP on GMod and Jailbreak on Counter-Strike.

There are interesting game modes that take advantages of Blockland's unique abilities, things like Trench Wars or Fort Wars or that one server with the disappearing blocks you have to stand on, or the other one with the floating platforms and the knives and grappling hook. But for every one of these there's 50 different TEAM FORTRESS 2 TDM servers and honestly it's annoying.

I'm not saying people can't like other games, or that they can't draw inspiration from those games, but there's a big difference between "drawing inspiration" and "making Battlefield 3 BUT IT'S IN BLOCKLAND NOW." The former can make really cool interesting things. The latter is just lazy and ultimately makes me just want to play Battlefield 3 instead of Blockland.

Blockland is EXACTLY like Battletoads because it has the color green and lizard playertypes... Lizards are almost frogs!!!

Your opinion is stupid. Every fun concept has been made in a game before, CityRPG wasn't inspired by GMod you thick skulled niggmidget.
