Author Topic: Parkour and Freerunning -Cement isn't as hard with snow on it-  (Read 11393 times)

I really want to try this, but there's no suitable place for me, and my parents seem like the kind of people who would disapprove of it.

I even remember this one time when me and my mother were sitting in our car in an outdoor car park in our nearby town and saw a few guys freerunning on the roof of a car park building, where I heard my mother mutter something towards them, which sounded nasty.

Another thing about my parents is that, even though I'm 16 now, they won't even let me leave the house alone.

We even live in a loving quite village! What's to worry about??

two more years and by law they won't be able to tell you what you can and cant do

i'm not allowed to leave the house alone but that's because i'm 11 so that's obvious

I've been able to take off alone since I was like 12 lol. Then again I was in a neighborhood where everyone looked after me c:
Now I can ride all the way to town 6 miles away alone if I wanted.

Anyways, I'm thinking of taking up parkour since I just now started to be able to run up walls and jump better. Today I took and ran up the side of a car and landed on the roof just to quickly hop right back off and keep going. Then I tried to run up a tree, I got a few steps in.

bump

my back is still messed up(getting x-rays eventually) and I can't do flips or things of the like that require the extreme bending of my spine without a lot of pain, so I've been practicing mainly in mma/tricking; I got a standing 720 spin down and the jackknife

also this is kinda cool http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BO9VuVnZKSA&list=UUwO-9tpNU8ThpeU0W2BXRiw&index=1

also good website http://trickingtube.com/tricklist

Gymnastics experience + Parkour = Perfect combination

I try to do parkour I guess, not super seriously as I do not have a very good place to do said parkour. Too many cars half the time. So you could maybe put me in the list :3

There's a new trainee in my team with a background of gymnastics, it really is a good combo

Except for the basic parkour roll, in my opinion. Because in gymnastics we're taught to not roll to the side at all, lol. And what do you mean by team? Sorry, I must've missed that part.

the team's been active for three seasons now but we still don't have anything on youtube, besides a couple of the non-martial artists richarding around trying to spar, with their little brothers taping it lol. That, and things recorded from years ago before the team was created

Dude that sounds awesome. I wish I could join lol, nobody here really does parkour.
